Susan K. really wanted to quit drinking…
Friday, November 6th, 2009But, no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn’t make it happen. She didn’t feel good about herself that she was so controlled by alcohol. She felt that the guys she dated were mostly about drinking and partying. So many of them were guys she never would have gone out with in the past. And she just hated going to work every day with a hangover. It made the days so long!
Other areas of Susan’s life were good. She ate healthy foods. She tried to exercise, but, at the end of the day, when it was a choice between going to the gym and having a great dinner with a bottle of wine, who wouldn’t choose the latter? The problem was that she couldn’t stop at one or two drinks. She stopped when she passed out.
One morning, after a long trip to Denver for a mini-vacation in Aspen, her life totally changed. She was driving with her new boyfriend, Luke. They were having a ball drinking Vodka and singing Country Western tunes at the top of their lungs. She drove up a long hill, and then the Rocky Mountains appeared before her in all their grandeur. She had seen the Rockies before, but today, something was different. The impact of the beauty stunned her. The effect it had was almost unsettling.
And then it happened. A voice whispered into her ear and said, “You don’t have to do this anymore.” She looked around. She knew it wasn’t Luke. He was too out there. But where did it come from? Then, she heard it again - YOU DON’T HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE!“ This time it was louder, more forceful. It was like a higher power sweeping down from the heavens to make her pay attention.
The voice was powerful, but soft at the same time. Tears ran down her cheeks. She didn’t know why it affected her like it did, but it hit her like a rock. Something had happened to her. The gig was up. She was done. It was time to start over.
And “start over” she did. She went directly to an AA meeting in Aspen, and everything changed. The desire was gone. The craving was gone. Something inexplicable had happened and her life opened in ways that she could never have imagined.

So don’t worry if you hear voices. You may not be going nuts. It just might be your Higher Self moving you to your next level. So step up to the plate, call forth your abundance, — your MASSIVE ABUNDANCE, — and be open to your new day.
Step 6 - Do What Prospers You

Do you really care to forgive that person/loved one who ruined your life? You really should for your own health and happiness. And Dr. Frederic Luskin explains how to do it with his Nine Steps to Forgiveness:
…but it is working for me and I’m having lots of fun with it!
The remaining 13% is due to diet, heredity, and the environment. Studies conclusively link more chronic diseases (also know as lifestyle diseases) to an epidemic of toxic emotions in our culture.”
You can will your way to great SEX, great money, great glory and great love! Did you know that we all make affirmations in our mind all the time? Affirmations are nothing more than a declaration to yourself or to others about something in your life. Unfortunately, many times we are affirming something we don’t want (e.g., I am so fat, I am so depressed, I am not going to be successful, etc.). They can be very powerful because they are the harbinger of what is to come in your life. What will be in your life. What you are planning in your life. STOP the negative affirmations NOW!
You will never gain enough approval for you to get permission to be yourself.

… Then, why the heck am I still taking Prozac? Well, some people, like author Dr. Robert Maurer, claims that that stress just doesn’t exist. Dr. Maurer is an Associate Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine and he talks a lot about KAIZEN, a process of taking small, trivial steps over time to master a goal, a skill, or an attitude.
So that’s what Daniel Gilbert said last week in Thursday’s Op-Ed section of the New York Times. Well, at first that was a mind blower for me, but when I thought more about it, it actually made a great deal of sense.Daniel backed up his article with a lot of good research. He started by reminding us of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s famous line, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself,” during the Great Depression. And then he went on to say how psychologists and economists have conducted extensive research to show that the very rich are generally no happier than 99% of us. That is, of course, if you are not in the breadlines and worrying where your next meal is coming from. That is something else.
Do some of your fears scare the hell out of you? Are you freaked out by speaking in public, flying in airplanes or even work deadlines? As crazy as this sounds, fear is good for all of us. Fear is generated by the brain to motivate us. We WANT to be motivated by fear because this causes us to act. If we didn’t have fear, we would be running red lights with abandon.
She’s always right. She’s my mom and she was telling me on Mother’s Day how she gets herself to the gym almost every day.
Ever wonder why you haven’t been getting the results you wanted from your real estate business? Are you blaming the economy and the credit crisis? Or how about the fact that so many homes are under water right now? Or what about all those new loans are too hard to get for buyers? And then, of course, are the unemployed. Let’s face it – times are really tough right now. So what is a real estate agent supposed to do in these turbulent times?
NOW. This moment. Ask yourself — what were you thinking? What was going on in that brain of yours? Were you thinking about how you were moving forward with massive abundance in your life and how you were excited about what you were doing? Or were you thinking other things?
What? You don’t want the Hybrid? Well, then what ARE you going to sacrifice in your life for Earth Day?
Want to ruin every relationship you have? Then just play fair.
Celebrating a holiday this weekend? Easter? Passover? Neither? If it is neither, maybe you can take a minute or two and think about everything that you are grateful for in your life. For you non-religious types, you probably have a spiritual connection to something - to the Universe, to God, to yourself, to your Higher Power, etc. Whatever it is, think about something
Albert who you ask? Why Albert Einstein of course! It was Albert Einstein who once said that
What if you could find someone to do your work for you for almost nothing? Wouldn’t that be great!? Well it is possible with VA’s or “virtual assistants”. What is a VA?
